My first Client- Success or failure?

One day while I was eating at Carsonie's Restaurant in Westerville. I ran into my friends Tim And Lisa. Owners of Weisenstein Roofing, Tim And Lisa saw my ads scrolling on the truck in the parking lot. They asked me how things were going and to show them the truck.
They said their business was slow and were tired of advertising in newspapers. They wanted to try something new. After quickly showing them the truck and how it operated they were immediately impressed. They wrote a 12 week contract the next day.

A few days later their ads were up and running. Our first major event was our local 4Th of July parade in Westerville. Generations of Weisensteins came to the parade to see their ad. They were excited to see their name in the parade.

Now I wondered would they get any business? Success or Failure?

Tim and Lisa received daily calls from friends and family who had seen their ad. This was very satisfying for them because they new their ads were being seen. They knew they were branding their company name and that would help strengthen their other forms of advertising. But would it turn into deals? I asked myself.

On the Eighth day of a 12 week contract Tim calls me to tell me he got a repair job. Not bad I thought. The very next day Tim calls me and sounded even more excited. This time it was a full roof job. Tim now made enough to pay for a full year of advertising and said not to call him about renewing his contract. He Said "Just send him a bill". This is when I new that my truck would help people's businesses.

THE COLD SPELL- Now we went about 6 weeks without a call. Tim said that it was because we were in a drought and know one calls their ads when it doesn't rain. I Said "OK". Well, he was right. A couple of weeks later we had the worst wind storm in Ohio history. Six days without power. That next day Tim landed two more full roof jobs from clients calling from there cars going to work that morning. He has continued to receive calls and has renewed for his third term.

Well this is one of many success stories but my proudest since he was my first client.

Also, A big thanks to Tim and Lisa for taking the time to learn and listen about mobile advertising. I am sure glad they did!

See you on the road.
